ATLANTA, GA —Protesters in Atlanta marched the fourth consecutive day. While out, Atlanta police said they made 52 arrests Monday as of 8 p.m. Most were made primarily at Centennial Olympic Park. Protesters blocked traffic on several roadways and briefly entered onto the interstate, according to police.
“Throughout the day, we have been monitoring several large groups of protesters in the city, with the main group being at Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Marietta Street,” they released in a statement. “We have encountered several issues during the day including instances where protesters blocked traffic on several roadways and briefly entered onto the interstate.”
The city curfew went into effect again Monday at 9 p.m. Atlanta police said they are working to ensure compliance and making arrests where needed.
